Words of comfort and assurance

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able

to comfort those who are in affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” - 2 Corinthians 1

Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live - even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" She said to Him, "Yes, Lord; I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world." - John 11

We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God,

to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren. And, these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified...”

If God is for us, who can be against us? He, who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also, with Him, freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; where is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the One who died, yes, and who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God; He is the One who also intercedes for us...”

Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... But in all these, things we overwhelmingly conquer - through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.” - Romans 8

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, in Christ. Just as He chose us, in Him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love, He predestined us to be adopted as children of God, through Jesus Christ, to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed upon us, in the Beloved. In Him, we have redemption - through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins, according to the riches of His grace.” - Ephesians 1

"As Moses lifted up the brass serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3

I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For, in it, the righteousness of God is revealed - from faith to faith; as it is written, "the righteous shall live, by faith." “ - Romans 1

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets us free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us...” - Romans 8

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed." The same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; for "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved!" - Romans 10

God, our Saviour, desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all.” - 1 Timothy 2

When the kindness of God, our Savior, and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy - by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out richly upon us - through Jesus Christ, our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” - Titus 3

Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not come to know God. God was well-pleased, through the “foolishness” of the message preached, to save those who believe...

The Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified - to the Jews

a stumbling block, and to the Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is both the power of God and the wisdom of God...

The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For consider yourselves, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world, and the despised, God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, that no one may boast before God. But, by His doing, you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption. So, just as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord." - 1 Corinthians 1

We know that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.” - Romans 6

God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our sins, He made us alive together with Christ. For by God's grace you have been saved. He has raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come, He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us, in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved - through faith - and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one can boast in himself.” - Ephesians 2
